Ferry Island Fort, | Directions
Description

Eastern fort in St. Georges, offshore from the Ferry Point.  It was used to protect the Old Ferry Crossing which was the channel to enter Castle Harbour. A small footbridge from Ferry Reach Park is used for access to Ferry Island. The scenery of the island gives you the feeling of the 18th century and how the fort was used back then. Bus Routes 1,3,10,11. Photo by Darkroom Daze.
