P.A.L.S. Bermuda provides compassionate cancer care and practical support to patients and their families throughout Bermuda. Serving the community since 1980, the registered charity focuses primarily on helping people receive professional care and support in the comfort of their own homes.
P.A.L.S. assists patients at different stages of their cancer journey through specialized nursing care, symptom and medication management, emotional support, counselling and patient advocacy. The organization can also provide medical equipment, nutritional supplements, transportation to medical appointments and assistance with eligible travel expenses for overseas medical treatment.
Working alongside doctors and other healthcare providers, the P.A.L.S. clinical team helps patients manage their individual needs while supporting quality of life, dignity and independence. Home-based end-of-life care is also available when appropriate and in accordance with the patient's wishes.
P.A.L.S. does not charge patients or their families for its services. The charity relies on donations, fundraising initiatives and community support to continue providing cancer care across Bermuda.
