The Bermuda Post Office
The Bermuda Post Office’s commitment is to deliver the mail within four working days. Most mail is delivered within two to three working days. In order to help us to maintain this standard please ensure all your correspondents use your full mailing address.
When sending mail locally the address must include:
- Recipient’s full name or name of business
- Secondary name (e.g. attention)
- House name
- House number and full street name or
- P.O. Box number
- Parish
- Postal code
When sending mail internationally the address must include:
- Recipient’s full name or name of business
- Secondary name (e.g. attention)
- House or building number and full street name or
- P.O. Box number
- City,
- State/Parish/Province/County,
- Postal Code/Zip Code
- Country
The envelope should also have the return name and address of the sender.
Please print clearly or use printer labels with one of the following recommended fonts: Arial, Courier, or Helvetica with a font size no smaller than 10 points.

When You Move
You must complete a change of address card to ensure your mail is delivered to your new address.
- Go to any post office and get three mail redirection cards.
- List all household members
- Fill in all the information requested on the card
- Return the cards to the Bermuda Post Office
The redirection of mail will last for six months from the date the service commences.
If your mail is being forwarded by airmail to an overseas address there is a nominal charge payable when the address cards are returned to the Bermuda Post Office.
Post Office Box Information
Post office boxes are available to be rented at all sub post offices except Bailey’s Bay and Perot. Conveniently located, these boxes are easily accessible and available for only pennies a day. Contact the sub post office directly to find out about availability in a location near you.
If you already have a post office box please make sure your correspondents have your correct post office box address with the correct postal code.
The postal codes for all post office boxes are listed below for easy reference.
The deadline to pay for your post office box annual rental fee is January 31.
Guidelines For Mailing Parcels
- Parcels must have the name and address of the sender and the addressee clearly marked.
- Parcels must weigh no more than 44 lbs. (20 kilos).
- The total girth (circumference) must be no more than 79 inches.
- You may not send the following through the mail system: explosives, gas, flammable liquids or solids, matches, lighters, aerosol containers or money.
